EATING OUT ON CHRISTMAS IN JAKARTA

The holidays are all about eating, so we were of course thrilled to be invited to sample Caffe Milano’s Italian Christmas Feast as prepared by Executive Chef Luca Pezzera. Natale is one of Italy’s most beloved holiday, so to celebrate, Chef Luca created a festive spread of his all-time favourite Christmas dishes. Jakarta gourmands are in for a treat as Pezzera Christmas classics are all featured on the set menu!


Everything is served family-style – we started off with the Norwegian salmon Carpaccio as our appetizer, followed by the delicious homemade tagliatelle with wild mushroom ragout (so good we came back for seconds!) Next up, the main event and Chef Luca’s personal favourite: the oven-roasted duck roll, a dish he has every Christmas Day in his hometown of Bergamo. But the highlight of the meal has to be the quintessential Milanese Christmas dessert: the delightful panettone cake, something we’re not treated to too often on our side of the world.

But don’t just take our word for it – bring the whole family up to Caffe Milano to enjoy the feast! After all, an Italian Christmas is not yet complete without the company of your loved ones. Buon Natale, and enjoy!
